btn_e From any periodic table style or any information screen you can use the navigator E button to find an element by entering a number or symbol or by entering enough of the name to be unique. Click the E button to open a dialog window.

Enter a number in the search field and the matching element number, symbol and name will be displayed below. As you enter multiple digits, the current match is displayed. For instance if you enter the number 101, you will see in succession, Hydrogen, Neon and Mendelevium displayed in the selection field.
Begin entering a symbol or name and the best match is displayed as you type. Enter
C and you'll see Carbon, add an a (ca) and the match changes to Calcium, type an l (cal) and Calcium is still displayed. If the fourth letter typed is an i (cali) the match changes to Californium.
Press Enter or click on Go To when the desired element is located and the current selection will change to the new element selection.
